Families of Venezuela

Each of us wants to live in perfect harmony with each other, with our family and children, so that free time is memorable. Every woman wants a man to pay more attention to his family, children and herself, so that taking care of the house for her is not a burden.

However, it is not always possible to find what we are looking for and not always family relations are close to the ideal. True, there are countries where the family always comes first, and men in the first place are ready to take an active part in all family affairs.

Venezuela is exactly the place where family relations are close to ideal, although at the present time there is a tendency that women pay more attention to their career growth. However, a woman will always remain a woman, and always in any situation, she will be drawn to the family and strive to be close to relatives and close people.

Venezuela is a Catholic country, so many local traditions are based on the observance of Christian norms of conduct. The church is the center of the political, cultural and spiritual life of Venezuela, and the priest enjoys unquestioned authority in the community. Venezuelans are very tolerant of all cultural and racial differences, and mixed marriages are very popular here.

The main thing for every Venezuelan and for the whole society is the family. Venezuelans spend much more free time in the family, often even men refuse all their hobbies for children and at home, believing that this is quite normal and even proud of the amount of time they give to the home.

Men are generally proud of their families, the successes of their children in school or in sports, and are always ready to talk about this with their colleagues at work. Sometimes even the time spent for a family becomes something of a controversy between men who spend more time with their families. Great value in Venezuela has a campaign with the whole family for various events, whether it’s some local carnival or even the Sunday Mass.

In one house in Venezuela, there are usually three generations of the family, while the elderly have a very high status. Grandparents take care of children if their parents work, and working parents are normal for Venezuelan families. On the grandparents are cares, for cooking and organizing the rest of family members.

Many women in Venezuela work, and there is no discrimination in this. A lot of women have achieved professional growth in their careers. They even often outperform men in such important economic structures.

There are more women studying in higher education institutions. Women also hold high-ranking positions in politics, as well as a lot of women in medicine, law and other public institutions. However, women always have time to devote enough time to their children and family.

Despite the fact that grandparents are not against looking after children, parents should give the basis of education to their children. Because of this, women, even given that their work often takes much longer than men, try to give all their free time to the family.

It is very interesting also in Venezuela and inside the public attitude. In relations between themselves Venezuelans are stressed, polite and correct.

However, in Venezuela, there are a lot of variants of nicknames in the fashion, which are often assigned to the interlocutors to simplify communication. Familiar people can easily use such nicknames as, for example, “my joy” or “my love”, and it will not bother anyone at all.

более A more specific nickname can be used with friends and well-known people, which is more like a nickname, which is formed either from the external data of the interlocutor or from his kind of activity or profession.

Some Venezuelan nicknames may sound rather rude, but you should take into account that there are many nuances in the local language that allow you to give a very pleasant and affectionate word even to a word that is offensive at first glance.

Strange sometimes at first glance nicknames can sound so pleasant in the pronunciation of Venezuelans, that this nickname can only be smiled, but not offended. Many foreigners are at first shocked by the behavior of Venezuelans, but this quickly passes.

Venezuelans are very fond of spending their free time outside the house, attending regularly, any events, traveling the whole family or just going for a walk. As a result, there is another feature of Venezuela – the presence of numerous restaurants and cafes, of which there are a great many.

In such places and institutions there is a life of its own, as colorful as in the whole republic. Here, sports and political events are discussed, deals are concluded or just a leisurely conversation about everything in the world.

Venezuelans also like to eat out and meet friends in restaurants. Perhaps that’s why in Venezuela there are so many restaurants and small cafeterias where you can have a snack, drink a cup of coffee, talk with friends, or just sit and relax.

Venezuelans have a peculiar attitude towards the times, and even claim that they live according to their special Venezuelan time. Here you will never meet a person who is somewhere in a hurry, service in all institutions is slow, leisurely, conversations are conducted long and unhurriedly, as if the interlocutors are in a sleepy state. Although this applies more to the moment when people just walk or rest, free from work.

Business, business and negotiations are conducted here in a very different time. All serious business issues in Venezuela are resolved very quickly, literally within minutes and conversations are held specifically on the case without any deviations from the topic.
