Immediately notice: tequila is produced not from cacti. It is obtained by distillation from the previously fermented agave juice, a plant that is not at all like a cactus and belongs to a different family – agave.

But it is worth considering that in natural conditions, cacti can develop a fairly large root system without any restrictions. The volume of ground mixture is limited, improper irrigation and drainage deteriorates its quality, the soil fauna is virtually drowned out. If the cactus is not transplanted, “forget about it,” then the plant roots will gradually die off, depriving it of moisture and nutrition. A cactus that does not grow in summer, often dies in winter.

No one doubts that it is in cacti that the spines are of leaf origin, and at certain stages of development they contain chlorophyll. But this does not mean that spines are modified leaves. Along with thorns, leaves are found in all plants of the subfamily Perovski and parts of the plants of the subfamily Opuntia. The spines of cacti are modified kidney scales.
Each cactus should be planted in a separate pot.
The nature of the planting of plants should be determined by expediency. If the house only 2-3 cactus, then the issue with pots disappears. Cacti do not live well with other plants.

Despite this, the statement is close to the truth. Cacti do not get along well with other indoor plants. The whole thing is in different conditions of content: often cactus suffers from excessive humidity, which is created by flower growers for most indoor plants.
Cactus and succulent are synonyms.
Actually, this is not the same thing: not every succulent is a cactus, although every cactus is necessarily succulent.
