Height – up to 0,1-0,2 mm, weight – is not defined.
This week there is the most important event in your life and in the life of the future baby: the egg meets the spermatozoon and conception occurs.
Of the 300-500 million spermatozoa that fall into the vagina of a woman during intercourse, only 400-500 survive, which manages to reach the ovule by the fallopian tube. In its head, each spermatozoon, in addition to the nucleus with 23 chromosomes, carries a vial of special enzymes that destroy the shell of the egg. As soon as the first of them manages to get inside, the egg becomes inaccessible to all other spermatozoa.
That’s how conception takes place. The 23 chromosomes of the egg merge with the 23 chromosomes brought by the sperm and a zygote is formed – the first cell of a new and completely unique creature – your unborn child. Already at the time of fertilization, the sex of the unborn child is determined.
Therefore, no effort, no magic special diet or exercise can now make a future child change his gender. Sometimes it happens that two eggs are fertilized and fertilized at once. Then the light will be binary twins. Sometimes one egg starts to last so that identical twins are born.
Fertilization occurs usually in the middle part of the fallopian tube. After fertilization, the zygote, continuing to divide, moves about 3 days into the uterus cavity and is attached (implanted) to its wall. At this moment, your future baby in scientific language is called a blastocyst. It consists of 32 cells and looks like a berry. By the end of 3 weeks your child consists of 250 cells and more like a ball 0.1-0.2 mm in size.
If the implantation has been successful, the embryo will now begin to receive nutrients directly from the mother’s body, and not from the stocks created by the egg. The mucous membrane of the uterus envelops the fetus and soon a placenta is formed around it – a special organ that will take care of your baby throughout the pregnancy, nourish it and protect it. If, for some reason, the implantation process has been disrupted, the embryo without placenta formation will die.
Now the future mother is officially pregnant, although she does not even know about it. A developing fetus secretes enzymes that lead to a change in the functions of the female body. For example, it is because of them that for the entire period of pregnancy monthly periods stop.
Simultaneously, the former graafa vesicle in which the egg ripens turns into a yellow body – a special temporary gland – and begins to produce hormones, progesterone and estrogen, which contribute to the further development of pregnancy.
Very often, future mothers feel the first signs of toxicosis at the time of the formation of the yellow body. Still unaware that they are pregnant, they can feel sudden faintness, unusual strong motion sickness in transport, sensitivity to smells, etc.
One of the mysterious and unexplained facts of the first weeks of pregnancy are dreams. It is on the third or fourth week of pregnancy that many future mothers see strange long-remembered dreams. There is a folk sign that if a fish dreams, it’s for pregnancy. Indeed, most pregnant women see a fish in one form or another in a dream.
Psychologists have also revealed several other motives: a breast full of milk, a healthy and cheerful child, as if he was already born, beautiful bouquets of flowers, the sun (as a variant of chamomile – small suns – or huge yellow water lilies, on petals you can sit or run ), fragrant bread or an abundance of products, for example, in a store. Always after such dreams there is a very good and warm feeling.
Maybe the other way around. The future mother dreams of something beautiful and healthy turns into a sick and dead (for example a beautiful bouquet of flowers fades and crumbles), or she dreams, but in a strange and inferior state, or mysteriously elusive and disappearing children. Such a negative dream can be a harbinger of a miscarriage and a woman should pay extremely serious attention to her health.
Remember that you must always lead a healthy lifestyle, eat right, with all the forces to avoid stress. It is worthwhile to carefully review the medications that are in your home medicine cabinet. Postpone those that are clearly contraindicated during pregnancy.
Keep Valerian, Noşp or Magne B6 on hand. These drugs help with increased nervous excitability and spasms, but even they should not be abused. After all, any medicine has an effect on your future baby.
