To become a leader is a painstaking work on yourself, no book like “how to become a leader in seven days” will not help you, and the famous “psychologists” in the courses will not tell you anything new (their goal is to get a reward from you). What do you need? First, evaluate yourself. Secondly, set clear goals. Important is the recognition of their shortcomings, and then their elimination. What to do for this?

Conduct a conversation with your inner critic, objectively object to him in response to comments related to you and others.

Be aware of what your relatives and friends think of you. Let the people closest to you honestly write to you your positive and negative qualities. Analyze what was written.

Be honest with yourself, note your shortcomings. You can even write down the negative aspects of your character on a separate piece of paper, then burn it. The paper will accept everything that you write to it, pour out your soul, tell her what bothers you and what are the reasons that do not allow you to come to success.

Your success deserves to be remembered by them. Mark them daily. All that you have achieved in a day must be entered by you, for example, in a notebook, so you can mark your victories and defeats and analyze them.

It is on him that you should pay attention first. Do not spare time to read books, watch how those who have achieved success do their work. Learn from strangers and your mistakes. Remember that negative experience is also an experience. Give more time to communication, look for new friends. The more acquaintances you have, the easier it will be to perceive their mood. In time, you will learn to understand the true thoughts of people. Your knowledge should be replenished regularly.

Sociability.

This quality is undoubtedly inherent in any leader. Speech leader should not only be built consistently, but also be able to interest others. Socio-psychological approaches should be the subject of a special study of the leader. In the process of communication, the leader must make sure that all members of the collective feel maximum involvement in the common cause, and for this the leader must know what interests govern the activities of each person in the team. The leader should not forget that he is a leader, and should not show his importance in every possible way. The preferred option is to build a leader of communication on an equal footing with others.3

Self-confidence.

Without this quality, the leader can not do exactly. Do not forget about your successes, let them give you strength to solve further problems. In no case do not stop before the arising problems and difficulties, after all their permission will lead to growth of your self-confidence.The degree of your confidence in yourself can be given by any conversation: what words you use, what is the timbre of your voice, what is the position of your body and even your gaze – all these are signs of whether you are confident in yourself or not. Do you want to become a leader? Prove it with your own manner of communication! When talking, look into the face of the interlocutor in your eyes (a glancing look is not a sign of confidence, it indicates that you are looking for support), keep your head straight, relax your shoulders a little (the interlocutor does not need to understand that you are internally tense). Such words as “probably”, “sort of like”, “like”, etc., should not be present in your speech. All that you set out should be defined and should not be regarded as something in which you yourself are not sure. How can you convince listeners if you yourself are not sure what you are saying? Replace “I think” with “I’m sure.” In no case do not justify yourself and do not press on pity, this will be a direct sign of your weakness (and you are a well-rounded personality!). Your voice should be smooth and clear. Work on your speech as sensibly as possible – it is your main “weapon” in any collective. Remember, what you want to convey to listeners, should be set out by you clearly, briefly and clearly.

The more hardy you are, the more confident you are. The more you are confident in yourself, the more you are hardy. Yes, these qualities are closely related to each other and form a vicious circle. Understand these nine times were not so inconclusive. After all, you have found nine ways how not to achieve the embodiment of your idea in life! Leaders can be educated in themselves only by constantly overcoming obstacles arising on your way, so do not follow the path of least resistance, be psychologically ready for possible difficulties. The development of your abilities can be facilitated by the high level of your claims to yourself. Do not delay the matter in the long box.

Balancing.

You must learn to keep sober thoughts and calm in all situations, nothing and no one should be able to get you out of yourself. Make an attempt to eliminate from your life all negative and unnecessary. Maybe you keep things that are of no value to you? Or maybe you communicate with people who are unpleasant to you for any reason? Try to protect yourself from this kind of communication. Avoid those people who constantly complain about their lives, except for a negative charge you can get little from them. Do not allow anger and other emotions to guide your actions, then you can regret that they have “flared up”, be guided by your mind.

Hardness.

In some situations, you need to be able to say a solid “no”. To be able to refuse is an important ability of a person. Understand that if you refuse a friend, you will not lose his friendship. And if you lose, what kind of friend is it? You must learn to prove your point of view and keep your composure. If you feel that you are pressured by pity, do not give in to it, be able to defend your rights. Educate yourself in a firm word. You must be able to refuse not only others, but yourself, you do not have to satisfy all your weaknesses, otherwise you can not become a strong person.

Ability to make decisions.

Be always proactive, because the leader is the “generator of ideas”. Try to make optimal decisions, but to do this, write down everything you think deserves the outputs from the situation, weigh the pros and cons, and then choose the best. If you can not solve anything, do not give in to the feeling of irritation. You should always assess the situation as adequately as possible.

8.

Purposefulness.

“Without effort, you can not get a fish out of the pond,” says the people’s wisdom. To come to achieve this or that goal, you must work, to move purposefully toward it. As a rule, there are no instant results; in addition, they do not bring such moral satisfaction as if you made efforts to achieve results. Remember all your positive qualities, start yourself with confidence to say that you will achieve everything that you have conceived, and immediately proceed to the implementation of the plan. Set the goal in front of you as clearly as possible.

Responsibility.

Responsibility must be able to be taken for a group of people and, of course, for themselves. If you make a mistake in something, do not be afraid to admit this fact. Give the surrounding example in the fact that the most important thing you do not shift on the shoulders of others, but do it yourself. Take on a little more responsibility than distribute to others – you are a leader, and on it lies the burden of responsibility. It is necessary to be able both to satisfy the interests of individual members of the collective, and to fight for a common cause. Do not indulge or be a tyrant – look for the golden mean! As an exercise in developing a sense of responsibility, you can do the following. Take a sheet of paper. Your job is to write at least ten sentences. All of them should start with the words: “I am responsible for”, and then write everything that you think is necessary in this case. This exercise is not a frivolous fun, it carries an important meaning. You rethink what you must do. This is a step in order to better understand yourself.

Organizational abilities.

The leader should be able to find a common language with all members of the team, as well as resolve the differences that have arisen in it. Moreover, to be able to unite people (perspective, goal or idea) is the main task of the leader. Be attentive to each member of the team, be interested in the positions, preferences, priorities, hobbies of everyone and, of course, do not miss the views of others. Do not worry if you do not get a good team at first. This skill always comes with time, with experience, it is closely related to your earned respect and trust in the team.
