The results of experiments, during which Asians and Americans answered the same simple questions, allow us to conclude: representatives of the two groups use different parts of the brain to search for answers.


You can grow wiser with a certain diet.

Indeed, some foods (chicken eggs, fish oil, beets, etc.) increase cognitive abilities, since they contain substances that positively influence the work of the brain. But it should be noted that experiments with a “diet for improving the mind” were conducted only in laboratory conditions on experimental animals. Food products that are capable of granting mental abilities to a person deprived of them have not yet been found.

You can tickle yourself.

You can tickle, but it will not be ticklish. Since the human brain is tuned to the perception of external stimuli, the signals caused by the actions of the person himself, he perceives less actively.

It is more difficult to play chess than, for example, to look at photos.

Creating artificial intelligence is not far off.

This is fiction. After all, the brain is a morphogenetically active system, which means that the connections between neurons throughout life change all the time. In the human brain, 150 billion, therefore, to simulate a similar system will have to use at least 150 billion processors, between which the connections are constantly re-bonded (according to certain regularities that have nothing to do with conventional mathematical algorithms).
