Adolf Gitler

Every great person becomes an object of study after his death. Historians and biographers delve into the fate of a man, trying to figure out all the nuances of his life, to understand what was moving him. For most of us, geniuses and tyrants are known and understandable only by their deeds. But they were ordinary people, with their passions, hobbies and complexes.

In addition, history often serves propaganda purposes, which makes the appearance of great people such as it is profitable at the moment. But there are no ideally good or bad people. Postwar history vigorously trumpets about how disgusting the phenomenon was National Socialism. His own leader, Adolf Hitler, is declared almost an envoy of the devil, he is credited with all possible sins. The authorities gave a tacit consent to blacken the name of the leader of the German people.

Journalists and historians did not particularly get into the truth, creating legends and myths about Hitler. Nobody seeks to justify his actions, but he should not see in him only a weak, mentally unbalanced sadistic loser who unleashed the world carnage only to quench his complexes. The personality of Hitler is much more profound and multifaceted, it is necessary to recognize this for the sake of justice. And prove this debunked myths about him.

Adolf Gitler

Hitler had Jewish roots.

Biographers usually begin their study of great people from their past. The famous German historian Ralph Yang, who managed to find more than three thousand ancestors of Schiller, published a book about the family of Hitler. In it, he refutes this myth. The version that Adolf’s grandmother, Maria Anna Schicklgruber, had an extramarital affair with a Jew, does not stand up to any criticism. The legend has the following basis. The father of the Fuhrer, Alois, was the illegitimate son of a servant who served the Rothschilds. It is believed that one of the members of the family actively took care of her there. But then Adolf’s grandmother married Johann Hidler, who, according to rumors, was a descendant of Czech Jews. Alois took the name of his stepfather, changing it to Hitler. The father of the future dictator had three wives, the last one, Clara Pelzl and gave birth to Adolf. It was said that she was also a Jew. However, the supporters of this myth provide in its proof a lot of facts that can be classified as rumors. Seriously asserted that smoke without fire does not happen. Yes, and the very behavior of Hitler, who banned from investigating his family tree, is alarming. In favor of the version about Hitler’s Jewish roots, the records of Hans Frank, the governor-general of Poland, speak. In them, the fascist told how in 1930 Hitler called him to help with blackmailers who threatened to disclose the truth about his origin. Only these records Frank wrote already in prison, when his death sentence was already in the air. Yes, and inconsistencies in these memories were more than enough.

The real name of Hitler is Adolf Schicklgruber.

This error even fell into the Great Soviet Encyclopaedia. Alois, Hitler’s father, was the illegitimate son of Mary Anna Schicklgruber and Johann Hitler. They got married when Alois was five years old. At the age of forty he changed his name, taking it from his stepfather. And the son of Alois, Adolf, was born only after twelve years. He already from the very beginning bore the surname Hitler.

Hitler’s father was an alcoholic.

It would be difficult for the customs official in Austro-Hungary to be an alcoholic in those days. If this happened, it would certainly be reflected in the documents of Alois Hitler. But this myth is not confirmed by anything. Historians, although they consider Alois quite unpleasant, still note his love of life, diligence and tolerance. Adherence of the father of Hitler to alcohol is described as “moderate”.

In his childhood, the father beat Adolf.

Alois was serious about his children. But his eldest son, too, Alois, proved to be unlucky. He left home. My father considered him a slacker. Allo turned his attention to his second son, Adolf, not wanting him to repeat the fate of his brother.Such control could not please, as a result of which the 11-year-old had a serious conversation with his father. And it was Adolf who emerged victorious from that dispute. It became clear that the boy had strong willpower and a persistent character, his father could no longer act on him physically or morally. And his father’s close attention led to the fact that he simply repulsed interest in Adolf’s studies.

Hitler did poorly in school.

Talking about poor performance at the Führer’s school can be applied to foreign languages. Hitler later even regretted it. In his autobiography, the Fuhrer wrote that the success in languages was hampered solely by the personal dislike of the teacher. The fact that the young Adolf was an apt pupil was also answered by the teacher of natural sciences. Hitler adored his history teacher in general. Here you can draw an analogy with the enemy of the Fuhrer, Churchill. He studied badly, doing only those subjects that were interesting to him. As a result, the successes were extremely bad, as for a representative of his circle. Winston’s father even admitted that his son had no chance of becoming a lawyer. The boy, as it seemed to him, was only a third attempt to enter a military school. Biographers note that in elementary school, Hitler generally studied perfectly. In 1896 he entered the second class of the Benedictine school. And here Adolf got good grades, sang in the choir and earned the post of assistant priest at mass. In 1900 Adolf, after moving the family, entered the first class of a real school in Linz. The change in the rural environment for the city turned out to be dramatic for him. He began to do more with what he liked – geography, drawing, history. After his father’s death, there was no incentive to learn at all, but Adolph promised his mother to attend lessons. In the certificate of the real school of assessments received in 1905, they stood perfectly for drawing and physical education, and in German, French, mathematics and shorthand, it was unsatisfactory.

Hitler is an artless artist.

It is difficult to subjectively evaluate the creativity of this person. After all, you want to blame him for being incompetent under the influence of quite a different activity. As a child, Hitler decided that he would become an artist. Researchers agree that Adolf possessed an artistic taste and was a good draftsman. Little-known fact – the design of the famous Volkswagen-Zhuk was invented by Hitler. An important test for Adolf was the admission to the Vienna Academy of Arts in 1907. There the young man was riding overflowing with hopes and even with certainty as a result. Hitler passed the first round, drawing a couple of sketches on a given topic. But in the second part of the exam, Adolf was eliminated – in the homework submitted to them there were too few drawings of plaster models. And when it was necessary to draw a portrait, the entrant was completely at a loss. Hitler himself noted that he liked architecture more, his artistic talent was suppressed by drawing. The rector of the Academy advised the entrant to simply do what he likes and can do better – with architecture. And in 1909-1910 Hitler began to work as a draftsman, but as a watercolorist. His inexpensive, but high-quality watercolors began to sell well. The young man naturally had a better opinion of his talents than they really were. But he was clearly not a jerk either. Besides, do all geniuses recognize in life, and they come to the academy from the first time? Hitler had obvious sexual deviations.

Versions about Hitler’s problems in sexual terms are broken about one simple argument – very little is known about the sexual life of the Fuhrer. His personal doctors, as well as close acquaintances testified that Hitler was absolutely normal in terms of his sexual inclinations and habits. Yes, and his long-term mistress Eva Brown was quite normal woman. She did not just come to Adolf to Berlin, but she also agreed to marry him, and then to die with him. This suggests that Hitler had the ability to have a lasting serious relationship. This is the British historians wrote about the fact that Hitler preferred abnormal sex, because of which his four mistresses even committed suicide.

Hitler was impotent.

Impotence has always been considered a disgrace to a man, which is why Hitler’s enemies have always accused him of this. And this legend appeared according to the recollections of one of the Fuhrer’s close associates. Allegedly, after leaving his bedroom after the first night, Eva Braun shook her head and spread her hands. However, no real names, evidence supporters of this myth can not provide. Moreover, after the fall of Berlin in the locker of Eva Brown, many contraceptives were found. But why would they be needed if Hitler was impotent? It was said that the leader’s problems were chronic because of a remote testicle. However, there is no medical evidence of this either.

Hitler was a homosexual.

The version about the hidden homosexual inclinations of Hitler appeared in 1943, thanks to the Americans. They tried to compile a psychological portrait of their opponent in order to try to predict his actions. But the researchers noted that the facts in favor of this version are so small that conclusions can not be drawn. The stories of Adolf’s homosexual experience still in Vienna in his youth are full of inconsistencies and inconsistencies. In the ranks of the National Socialists there were really gays. Even when during the “Night of the Long Knife” the SS began to eliminate the leaders of storm troopers, it turned out that those who slept with the orderly, and who simply with a cute guy. But what does Hitler have to do with it? At one time Albert Speer ridiculed such rumors. He stressed that the Fuhrer often had no time for sex. The historian Glenn Infild, who studied exactly the intimate life of the main Nazi, also came to the conclusion about the absolutely natural sexuality of the Fuhrer. At that time, his mistresses were still alive, based on their stories, they managed to find out the truth. Yes, and Hitler appreciated the female body, which is evident even from his drawings. Moreover, it is no secret that in different periods of his life the Führer had mistresses.

Hitler is guilty of committing suicide Geli Raubal.

Geli’s connection with her uncle began in 1925 and lasted until her death in 1931. Hitler loved Geli dearly and she lived recently in general living at his apartment. It is believed that the cause of death lies in the terrible jealousy of Hitler and the fact that he kept the young woman locked up. Contemporaries recalled that Geli was an apolitical person who simply enjoyed life. But could it be in the status of a prisoner? According to the official version, having quarreled with Hitler, the mistress shot herself from his own pistol. However, the police report noted that the door was locked from the inside. Hitler himself sharply reacted to the death of his beloved. It seemed that he was ready to commit suicide. Adolphus refused food and water, stopped talking.

Hitler was a masochist.

In support of this myth is the letter of one of his mistresses, the actress Renata Mueller. She said that the Fuhrer demanded to beat himself with a whip, kicking in intimate places, insulting and foul language. However, this artifact appeared when Hitler was already the head of the country, and all the correspondence of his girlfriends was carefully studied by security agencies. Appear in the world such a letter, it would simply not reach the addressee, having been destroyed. The researchers in 1945 received letters and personal diaries of Eva Braun, where there are no allusions to the masochistic inclinations of her husband.

Hitler had problems with the genitals.

In addition to the already mentioned rumor about the monarchy of Hitler (the presence of only one testicle), they also said that the leader had a small penis. And this legend spread across many books and articles. Guilty in its appearance are experts who investigated the corpse of Hitler. In the act of autopsy it is written that the left testicle was not found in the scrotum, in the seminiferous canals, or in the small pelvis. In 1968, it was assumed that this vice of Hitler was not mentioned anywhere in his life, since he resolutely refused to examine the doctors. However, there is no doubt that from 1934 to 1945 the Fuhrer was very often examined by medical specialists, without protesting against the examination of his genitals. And the corpse of Hitler was so burned that even his skull fell apart into separate parts. How could you examine the genital organs of a person, digging, in fact, in a pile of ashes. Hitler constantly took drugs because of nervous overexertion.

In his youth, Hitler smoked a lot, sometimes up to 40 cigarettes a day. But over time, he left this bad habit, realizing that he was wasting money on this hobby. Later, Hitler refused not only from tobacco, but from alcohol. And before the speeches, he took pills with caffeine, cola and sugar. The so-called Dalman tablets allowed to reduce fatigue and stimulate the body. Yes, they are now freely sold. Also, Hitler actively promoted the anti-tobacco campaign that was held in Germany. In the Third Reich, the death penalty was generally reserved for drug addiction and the spread of such funds. And the myth of Hitler-the addict appeared due to the esoteric Alistair Crowley. She claimed that she personally taught the Fuhrer magical art and at the same time introduced him to exotic drugs. However, there is no evidence of the use of psychotropic drugs by the fascist leader. And he did not meet Crowley either. Even the fashion for cocaine in the 1920s bypassed Adolf, because he had to live for a pittance. With all the rejection of Hitler’s personality, it is worth acknowledging that he had a sound mind, well-developed logical thinking, and he simply did not need chemical substances for dope. It is important to note the role of the personal doctor of the Fuhrer, Theo Morel. At one time he took up the treatment of the Fuhrer, that health had already been undermined. The more medicines the doctor gave him, the more side-effects were. Morel was forced to resort to more and more potent drugs. By 1944 Hitler actually fell into dependence on the stimulants of his doctor.

Hitler was an alcoholic.

And in this case there is no basis for such a myth. Hitler did not feel the urge to wine, since at one time he was drunk in a real school and got into an unpleasant situation. Since then, the German has decided to abandon alcohol altogether. However, he allowed himself beer, drinking one or two mugs. But Hitler did not impose his views on anyone.

The most dangerous internal enemies of Hitler were the Communists and the Social Democrats.

The latter, although opposed to Hitler, himself never seemed dangerous. The only rivals in politics with whom Hitler had to be considered became the Conservatives in 1930-1934. And the Communists, like the centrists with the liberals, from the very beginning seemed to him to be small players. And after 1934, when Hitler received unlimited power, the situation remained the same. Socialists, liberals and Christians inside Germany and beyond did not pose a threat to the Nazis. The Communists, however, portrayed resistance purely symbolically. And the conservatives still represented a problem. It is no accident that all those who were among the conspirators against Hitler represented precisely this political force. Even the attempt on July 20, 1944 was considered a highly conservative act.

Hitler hated Jews from his youth.

Hitler is considered the main anti-Semite in history. However, his dislike for the Jews appeared only after the First World War, at an already mature age. Hitler believed that the image of a single enemy would unite disparate groups. Living in Vienna and Linz, the future leader did not express his hatred of the Jews. He attended performances, which were staged and played by people of this nationality. And his family doctor, to whom Hitler warmly treated, was also a Jew. And in general, it would be naive to expect that the ideologist will blindly believe in the ideology he imposes on the masses.

Hitler was a fascist.

In fact, such a seeming logical statement is erroneous. If one decides what is fascism, the following will become clear. This is the rule of the upper classes, which is based on artificially evoked mass enthusiasm. On this basis, Hitler was not a fascist, his goals and methods were much closer to Stalin than to Mussolini. The ideology of the Nazis propagated ideals, almost the opposite of the fascist, in which the hierarchy of society looked like a citizen. In pre-war Czechoslovakia, radical students adored the Italian leader and his ideas. In Germany, young people admired Nazism. Both of them hated each other and fought hard. The identification of fascism with Nazism was due to the fact that Germany and Italy became allies in the Second World War. But after all, the ideology of the USSR and the United States, which helped each other during these years, no one is trying to identify.

Hitler was an inept military commander.

History includes a contemptuous description of the “Bohemian corporal” given to Hitler by President von Hindenburg. This nickname was picked up, it emphasized the amateurism of a man who took command of a huge army. It was believed that throughout the Second World War, Hitler constantly interfered in the management of the troops. This narcissist did not want to listen to anyone, and at the end of the war he completely lost touch with reality. They even say that it was the Führer’s personal qualities that did not allow Germany to win the war. Such rumors are beneficial to German generals, who with their help manage to save their reputation. By the way, Field Marshals Kluge and Keitel still considered Hitler a military genius. In 1955, in Germany even published a book by K. Ricker “One man loses the world war.” However, critics often forget that Hitler accepted his decisions, being not just a military man, but also a politician, head of state. Proceeding from this, it was dominated by many factors that the military simply did not know. It is said that Hitler did not allow the formation of long-range bombers, but they forget that the country simply did not have the resources for this. Even before the outbreak of World War II, the Führer’s actions were not supported by the generals, and he was taking a reasonable risk, taking into account the political situation and the indecisiveness of England and France. In 1940 it was the genius of Hitler that allowed to defeat France. But it is not necessary to exaggerate his military talents, especially since the Führer clearly tolerated serious mistakes. This was especially noticeable by the end of the war, when the leader’s health was also undermined. But they did not have a fateful influence.

Adolf Gitler

Hitler was fond of occult sciences and was a medium.

In Hitler, they saw almost the governor of the devil, endowing him with demonic power. Many books have been written about the occult interests of Hitler. However, it often turns out that the ex-Führer’s former comrades-in-arms are the supernatural forces who explain their cooperation with him. Ostensibly people attracted to Hitler, he literally hypnotized them. They talked about the leader’s ties with Tibet, that they even defended him in Berlin. But the SS men with Asian features were simply French, who came from Indochina. And the Germans suddenly became uncomfortable after the war that all the people supported the Nazis. The best way was to blame everything on Hitler’s stupid mind. In fact, Hitler’s ideas were understood by the Germans, he spoke and did what everyone wanted to see and hear. Hitler was a talented speaker and a good psychologist, having managed to take advantage of his chance. But what does mysticism have to do with it?

Hitler came up with a theory of racial superiority.

Actually, it was not Hitler who came up with it. Throughout history, any civilization considered itself special, surrounded by its near neighbors. It was in Egypt, and in Rome, and in China. And in Europe, the idea of superiority of one race over another on a scientific basis was formed in the XIX century. The French intellectual De Gobineau created a treatise on the Inequality of Human Races. It was specifically stated that the German branch of the white race should not be confused with the others, otherwise it will degenerate. And the publication of this work took place before the birth of Hitler! Another theorist of racial theory was an Englishman. Houston Chamberlain in 1899 wrote about the creative Teutonic beginning and about the confrontation with the destructive Jewish. It was then that the concept of the Aryan race appeared. Of course, theorists did not write about the total destruction of the lower races. But the concept of eliminating the mentally handicapped was also invented before Nazism. Back in 1920, in a respectable and democratic Germany, a book of two professors “Permission to destroy an unworthy existence of life” appeared. And such views were quite popular in Europe. In 1921, Germany even established a government commission to promote abortion and sterilization of people with disabilities.

Hitler was crazy.

This is a very fashionable myth, Hitler was often called demoniac. Even Guderian, one of the Fuehrer’s favorites, wrote in his memoirs that Germany was headed by a deeply mentally ill person. The reasons for the appearance of such a legend a few – all and wanted to humiliate the villain and give him the most negative features. It also removed responsibility from the German society itself, whose ideas and mentality were pushed against Hitler’s actions. First of all, it should be said that in the opinion of psychiatrists completely healthy people do not exist at all. Each of us has some kind of fears, complexes, obsessions. Unhealthy atmosphere in the family, the failure of the artist’s career – all this left its mark. In addition, Hitler passed the war, which also led to psychological trauma, like millions of others. Psychologists convicted the Fuhrer of narcissism, paranoia, but this is not necessarily the symptoms of schizophrenia. On the other hand, if a normal person were deprived of personal deviations, would he be able to reach such heights of power? Confidence in himself, in his chosenness, helped Hitler persevere towards the goal.

Hitler hated the Slavs.

Actually, the attitude towards the Eastern European nations was not so tough as it was for Jews. They embodied all the world’s evil and represented, in the opinion of the Fuhrer, a threat to the people. And the Slavs for the Fuhrer are another inferior people, like the Chinese or Negroes. In his work “Mein Kampf” Hitler directly writes that Germany simply needs a new living space. And the Slavs simply are that extra population, from which it is necessary to get rid. And the attitude to the Slavs, both to the barbarians and our lower culture in Germany, was cultivated by generations, long before Hitler. Hitler secretly met with Stalin.

Historians categorically refute the meeting of two great tyrants. However, not so long ago, this myth was reanimated by Edvard Radzinsky. A certain old railwayman told him a story about how on October 16, 1939, a mysterious train appeared at the station with enhanced security. A document was also found in the National Archives of the United States, where special services testified about the meeting in Lvov of Stalin and Hitler. Radzinsky proves his theory by the journal of visits to Stalin, who on October 18 did not accept anyone and only appeared 19 late at night. But Stalin, who did not fly by plane then, physically could not drive in two days from Moscow to Lviv and back. In addition, in the new territories there was also another railway track. Yes, and on October 18-19 the USSR introduced troops to the territory of Estonia. In Moscow there was an official delegation of this country, which solved all technical issues. And what was Stalin talking about with Hitler? The non-aggression pact was signed on August 23, and on September 29 the parties already signed the Treaty of Friendship and Borders.

Hitler and Eva Brown remained alive, having fled to Argentina.

This myth is constantly heated up by the yellow press. Even photos of the supposedly old Fuhrer are published. They say that he died in 1964. According to other legends, Hitler was captured by SMERSH and was taken to Moscow. Later, Stalin used it as a lever of pressure on his Western allies who quickly became adversaries. However, historians have little doubt that in the spring of 1945 Adolf Hitler and his wife committed suicide. The Soviet secret services were most interested in establishing the truth. The operation was conducted under the code name “Myth”. In our time, many documents on the progress of the investigation have been declassified. From these papers it becomes clear that at the end of the investigation Soviet specialists were convinced of the death of Adolf Hitler.
